SABRE
Twelve month old Sabre is now looking for a new home after his family moved into an apartment and could no longer keep him. Sabre is a handsome, sable German Shepherd.
Sabre is great with other dogs and kids. He is very playful and would suit an active family with time to exercise and play with him.
Sabre has had some basic training but being young he can still be quite boisterous. His new home must be willing to continue his training.
Sabre is an affectionate young man and would like to go to a home where he is allowed to spend time with his family both inside and out.
Sabre has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartwormed and wormed, and is available for an adoption fee of $350.
ZENA
Beautiful Zena was picked up as a stray by the pound. After her owners said they would come and collect her several times, they decided to surrender her in the end. She is now looking for a new family that is committed to her as much as she is to them. She is a 4 year old, pure German Shepherd.
Zena is a gorgeous, petite, young girl. She is well behaved and has very good manners, although she does need some training on the lead. She is a smart girl and would no doubt pick up the training very quickly. She has come from a family with children and is great with other dogs.
Zena does however need 6 foot fencing. A home where she can spend lots of time both inside and out with her family is preferred. She does appear to be housetrained.

ROSCOE
This poor fella was picked up by the pound in shocking condition. He has a bit of recovering to do, but is on the look out for his new home. More information on Roscoe will be available soon.

NEO
Four year old Neo was surrendered by his family due to a change in circumstance that meant they were no longer able to keep him. He is now looking for a new home.

FOXIE
Seven year old Foxie was surrendered with her brother Simba. They are both now looking for new homes and would be happy to go either together or individually.

ROXY
Roxy was surrendered to the pound, and unfortunately due to being highly stressed atthe pound, she was deemed not suitable for adoption. Roxy is now in our care, and is now looking for the right home to take care of her.

JAZZY
Used as a puppy factory,this poor girl was dumped at the pound - no doubt after she was considered too old to keep breeding. She is now looking for a new home that will take great care of her.

SHEBA
Sheba first came into care a couple of months ago, and very quickly found a new home. Unfortunately the resident dog refused to accept Sheba into the family, so she is now looking for a home once again.

Beautiful Ceva was surrendered to the pound with her best mate Smokey. Smokey was adopted from the pound leaving Ceva all alone. She is now looking for a new home to call her own. More information on Ceva will be available soon.

GINGER (On Hold)
Eight month old Ginger, along with her sister Sandy, was rescued form the pound as their owner didn’t collect them. Both girls are now looking for new homes, and would be happy to go either together or separately.
Both girls are gorgeous, with the looks of a German Shepherd, but the size of a small border collie. Ginger has a beautiful red coat.
Ginger is the more confident of the two girls. While both were initially timid, Ginger has much more readily accepted her surroundings. Ginger appears to understand some basic commands and is responding well to training.
Ginger is good with other dogs, but it is clear she hasn’t had much interaction with dogs other than her sister. A home willing to continue her socialisation is a must.

RAHNI (On Trial)
Beautiful Rahni was surrendered due to a marriage breakdown and neither party could take her to their new home. So she is now looking for a new home of her own.
Rahni is six years old, but someone has forgotten to tell her that – she still behaves like a pup at times. And who can blame her really – she hasn’t yet had the opportunity to experience the joys of life. Rahni has seen very little outside of her backyard. She was rarely walked, didn’t get to go out with her family, didn’t get to meet other dogs, and had received very little training.
Despite this however, she is quite a well adjusted girl. She absolutely loves people. She is also quite a social girl and has now met a number of other dogs.
She is slowly learning the basics, but will certainly need someone to continue with her training. Rahni will require minimum 5ft fencing to keep her safe, and she would love to go to a home where she can spend lots of time with her family to catch up on lost time!

This handsome boy was picked up by the pound as a stray. His owners didn't come to collect him so he is now looking for a new home.

Hi! My name is Dakota and I have recently turned one! Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate my birthday with my family, as I don’t have one yet. I used to have a family of my own – I lived in the country of NSW. But one day back in May, they left me at the pound. I was very scared as I hadn’t spent much time outside of the backyard of my old house. But I was one of the lucky ones, and a nice lady picked me up and took me to meet Tanya from Save A Shepherd. When I met all the new dogs, I was very scared, but I love bouncing! It’s my favourite thing. Whenever I get excited I will show you just how high I can jump. Though I only do it for fun – I don’t jump over fences. Though it would be best if my new home had at least 5ft fencing to keep me safe. I’m not a big fan of cats though. I think they smell, and I try to chase them away as soon as the come near me. So a home with no cats, please!!! I love affection and cuddles. I will do anything for you for a cuddle! Food is pretty good too, but nothing beats a cuddle! I am now the longest resident at Save A Shepherd, and although I have visited a couple of homes, both of them had dogs that didn’t particularly like me, so it didn’t work out. I would really love to meet you, and show you just how much I love cuddles (and how high I can bounce!). Please let me be your new best friend! Cha Siew (which is Chinese for BBQ Pork) is a very handsome boy who is unfortunately looking for a new home as his owner is moving overseas and can't take him with her. Cha Siew has until the end of January to find a new home.
Cha Siew is described as spoilt young boy - grown up as an only child (I mean pet...). Whilst he is ok with other dogs, he does get jealous when other animals are around, so a home as an only pet would be preferred, although he would be ok as a companion for another large dog.
Cha Siew has grown up with older children and is great with them. However he hasn't really had the opportunity to meet young kids.
Cha Siew is well trained and walks well on lead. He is also very gentle with food and is toilet trained He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war!
Cha Siews ideal home is somewhere that has plenty of space to let him run around and play. A home that will alow him both inside and out is preferred

NIKKY

Nikky is a stunning 2 year old German Shepherd cross who loves going for long walks, playing ball & just being with her family.
Nikky is an incredibly agile dog so needs very tall fences, or a property with plenty of space for her to run and play. A home where her family is home with her for the majority of time would be ideal!
Nikky is a very affectionate girl and is fine with men and children but absolutely ADORES woman. She is a girls best friend!
Nikky is quite obedient and lovely to walk on a lead. She would be an ideal companion for a single woman who would love the company and security of having a girl like Nikky around!

JESS

Beautiful 1 year old Jess is a Black German Shepherd who is looking for a new home. She hasn't had the greatest start to life, but she is really starting to come out of her shell now. She is currently living with another dog, and has previously lived in harmony with cats and birds. Jess has some basic training and is house trained.
Jess is desexed, vaccinated and wormed and is available for an adoption fee of $300.

AFRO
6m desexed male would like another friendly playmate. Not for security or yard dog. Enjoys constant companionship needs strict owner and ongoing training. Very intelligent. Very smart happy loving boy. Learns quickly. Requires grooming for the long coat atleast once a week brush out. Poa phone Sallie 0413222053
HANNAH
Looking very beautiful, pound rescue Hannah is an active girl who loves to play with the family. She loves her walks but her response to other dogs can be so different, loves some and is so happy to play with them but then goes off at another which would indicate her need for ongoing dog training to refine her doggy social skills . She appears to have been well treated in the past and has no fear of people, objects, gestures except for the garden hose, as soon as the water is on she is off . She does not appear to have had much previous training but is very food orientated so it is easy to gain her attention at our training sessions and she now knows how to sit, bed, stay, & walk loose lead. Being so friendly she needs to be an inside/outside dog. She loves a game of ball with our 3 children, youngest is 7 and plays nicely with them all. She can wait now for food and for an invitation to go through the door. We visualize her in a family home, preferably one with previous GSD or large dog breed experience. We don't know what she is like around cats, rabbits or chickens.
